With the exhibition 'Alice Springs', the Berlin-based Helmut Newton Foundation has been presenting the first retrospective of June Newton on an international basis. In 1970 June began her own photographic career under the pseudonym Alice Springs. Her work has been exhibited regularly at the Helmut Newton Foundation since 2005, namely in "June’s Room." The current retrospective in Berlin showcases a selection of of approximately 250 works - a comprehensive look at the four decades that span her work, including advertising and fashion photographs as well as nudes, and above all portraits.

In addition, during 2011 the Helmut Newton Foundation will be participating in Berlin’s 'Long Night of the Museums'. On January 29th, 2011 at 7 pm, Matthias Harder, Curator of the Foundation, will be offering a guided tour through the exhibition.
